In a significant move to bolster security in the Baltic Sea, the Dutch frigate Tromp has docked in Tallinn as part of NATO’s newly launched operation, “Baltic Sentry.” The initiative comes in response to increasing threats to critical undersea infrastructure, including power cables, telecom links, and gas pipelines, which have been targeted since the onset of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
