Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi has stated that PTI founder Imran Khan’s letter to the Army Chief was written in the national interest and should be viewed positively. Speaking to the media outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, Qureshi mentioned that while he has not personally seen the letter, he has heard about it. He emphasized that Imran Khan outlined the reasons behind the current challenges and suggested potential solutions in the letter.
Qureshi stressed the urgent need for a national agenda and called for a broad national agreement among all political parties. He highlighted that a consensus on an independent and sovereign Election Commission is essential to ensure free and fair elections. He urged that if the intention behind the letter is to resolve matters, then it should be taken constructively for the betterment of the country.
