The Punjab government has launched the second phase of its mass wedding initiative, the Punjab Dhee Rani Programme, following the successful completion of 1,500 marriages in the first phase. The initiative, designed to support underprivileged families, provides financial assistance, household essentials, and a dignified wedding ceremony for brides. Applications can be submitted online or at district social welfare offices, with a dedicated helpline for assistance. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting daughters of Punjab, ensuring they begin their married lives with dignity and security.
